We got the pool of our dreams. The professional team at Cody pools, in particular Brice Hayes and project manager Dre worked very closely with us to build our custom pool. We worked with several pool builders before selecting Cody, providing them with all of our requirements. Brice provided us with unquestionably the best design. He added what seemed to be small features that made a huge impact after the pool was built, while keeping costs down. Adding the curved seats between the base pool and the lap lane added depth, beauty and utility. The retaining wall he added highlights the pool in our backyard. Dre oversaw the project superbly. But once again what set them apart was that any concerns were addressed promptly and changes were seamlessly incorporated as the construction progressed. For example, after the pool was filled, we thought the table needed to be higher. It was clear that satisfying the customer was the top concern. Some builders might have said that the table was within specifications but Dre never quibbled and corrected the problem by rebuilding the table top which was no small task. Brice was so helpful with ideas and expertise in designing the pool of our dreams, combining form and function, and he and Dre were always available to discuss options. We are very happy with the results and we receive many compliments on our lovely and functional pool. We highly recommend Cody pools.Julie and Larry Klooster

We were referred to them by several of our neighbors. We are more than happy after shopping around to go with Cody Pools. The service and installation was impeccable and then final result was beautiful. They answered every call and showed up every time on time and delivered great results! thank you Cody Pools the good word will move on! Brice was our salesperson and did everything to help us from beginning to end. Miguel was our superintendent on the project and walked us through also! Beginning to end. Both answered, showed up, and never left us with questions unanswered. Thanks again guys!

From the time we first met with our Cody pool designer (Randle) to the beginning of construction was approximately 9 weeks. After the design was laid out in my backyard the excavation began five days later. It took about three months to build. There were two week gaps without any work being performed. We were made aware their trade workers are jumping from one job to another. Building a swimming pool is a big messy job. My advice to anyone is to pack some patience because you're going to need it. Cody's quote was within our budget. The second bid we got was a full third higher.Be aware of these things; Trade workers using machines that move earth and spray concrete will kill or destroy nearby vegetation. Make sure they cover with tarps. We didn't and much of our lawn was destroyed. We were made aware of this possibility ahead of time. They clean up debris piles around the build site eventually, but not until close to the end.We had a minor slow leak by one of the skimmers. Our tech took a look at it and put in a service request. Two men came out and quickly found the cause. They drained a foot of water out and sealed the little corner between tile and the plaster pebble tech. No more leak, but there is a whiteish stain on the outside scratch coat. Our equipment is working real good. Pool stays sparkling clean. Our pool school trainer (Jacob) was excellent. I'd give a 5 star review if it wasn't for a couple things I wished were handled with a bit more emphasis on good customer service.

The folks over at Cody were just amazing. Our designer Jason, was patient, courteous and responsive as he listened to and answered our list of questions. Next, our project manager, Kevin was fantastic! Not enough good things to say about him. As a professional project manager, I know how tough it is to keep an effort on schedule and he had the entire project well planned, and communicated with us every step of the way. They completed the pool project way ahead of our schedule and every team member was very professional. I would build another pool with these guys any day.

We are extremely impressed with Jacob and Ben. They made the process of learning about pool care fun, easy, and interactive. I particularly liked how they would always say "that's a good question" after I would ask the simplest thing, for about the third time! Ben is super knowledgeable and knows an extremely amount about pool maintenance and testing. The are a credit to the company and show a professional front!

Joe in sales was awesome from start to finish. He met with us several times, several extra times, because we just couldn’t decide whether to build a pool or not. He designed and redesigned our pool many times to suit our needs. Construction was completed on time and went smoothly. Highly recommend Blue Haven to anyone!

I highly recommend BHP. Joe R was our sales person and was great throughout the entire process. He was very knowledgeable and has a great attitude, especially for all the questions we had. Jerry H and his construction crew are the best! He was awesome at giving us updates and keeping us a priority. We were very blessed to have the opportunity to work with this team!

It has be about 2 years since I started working with this company. I will start off by saying that Joe, has been an absolutely great designer he designed the pool I’ve always wanted. Now, my pool took a year to be complete, neglecting the work and always coming up with excuses as to why I had to wait for phases of this work. They got done December of 2021. I have used my pool 3 times and each time my heater would become faulty as to were maintenance would come to do a temporary fix. on April, when I called about it again, they gave me the run around, the “someone will contact you to schedule” and never call. it has been almost a year and they have not fixed it. I paid over 80k on a pool I can’t comfortably use because it doesn’t work up to standard. They have neglected their own warranty contract, offered no solution other than “Someone will come look at it” It has been since April of 2022. Its is now February, 2023. I used this company thinking I rather pay good quality and not worry about poor performance and honestly I have paid an expensive price for a headache, stress and disappointment.Absolutamente unsatisfactory.

Keith Zars built my pool 2 years ago and it's beautiful! We've had a few maintenance issues since then but they have been very responsive and proactive in making the repairs. I have several neighbors with different pool companies who cannot say the same. Very pleased with their service levels.

Sharp organized and shows up, typical of not everything that shines is gold . KZP assigned an inexperienced clueless person to do my pool who never was able to make the pool look decent. My nephew who is not into that business at all had to fix it for it to be usable.Just looked at ridiculous answer by owner obviously he didn't read the review which says service was terrible or he's in denial about he's poor employee performance.I would not recommend this company even if they pay me

My wife and I did a lot of research before choosing Keith Zars because we wanted to avoid nightmare scenarios we had heard or read about and I am certain we made the right decision. We are extremely happy with the end result. Not only that but the whole experience was excellent. Everyone we came in contact with - from first consultation, to design and build was great. They were always available to answer our questions. Paul, the superintendent, was the best and always kept us updated on everything.

Keith Zars Pools built us an amazing pool on a challenging side of a hill. Kent Ely the pool designer, Terry Shake the pool build supervisor, Jorge who did an amazing tile job for our patio, and all the workers that built the pool were professional, friendly, and easy to work with. KZP stands by their build and have a great warranty. I highly recommend them if you're looking to build a custom pool you will love for years to come.

Best investment for Texas hot weather. Love the black pebbled plaster with nacre shell gives the look you are in a small lake and shines different colors. Have it for 8y and more to come. Keith are prompt to service it, we had no issues when built they were right on scheduled.

We had a geometric pool and spa built with KZP. The entire process from sales, design, planning, construction, and completion was smoother than we anticipated. Going into this project during the COVID-19 pandemic, my wife and I were aware of potential delays. While delays occurred, we completely understood the challenges during these times and never pressed KZP for a faster completion. The time it took to complete was the timeline my wife and I had set in our minds considering the present challenges going across industries.Sales Stage: Ms. Beth Gerrard and her sales team were amazing. At this stage we had to go back to the drawing board several times to figure out a design that would fit our our wants and budget. The sales agent was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and motivated to create a design suitable for us. At no point, we felt that we were been sold the pool that they had in mind; they always worked to sell the pool my wife and I had in our minds.Pricing: At the time of quote, the KZP price was competitive when compared to 4 other companies. KZP reputation and organizational structure weighted heavily on our decision.Design Center/Materials: The material selection offered by KZP is very extensive. Selecting the materials can be overwhelming. Elizabeth at the design center made this process very easy and enjoyable. While this is the second pool we build, we relied heavily on Elizabeth’s expertise and experience to determine the tile, plaster, and colors to be used. My wife and I are grateful for Elizabeth’s input. The pool looks amazing.Project Execution: My wife and I are grateful for the expertise and professionalism of Marie Caiazzo and Paul Espurvoa along with the different work crews. Going into the project, my wife and I were concerned about the project specific challenges due to the unique terrain features. Specifically, our yard is on a hill and it has three leveled sections instead of a slope. We wanted the pool in the top area. This challenge did not face the KZP crews.Paul Espurvoa was our project superintendent. Paul’s professionalism, knowledge, customer service skills and leadership are amazing. Paul ensured that we were informed of what was going on in our project at all times. He never failed to communicate with us. We always felt that we were part of the entire construction process. Throughout our project, Paul made us feel confident that we had made the right decision to build with KZP. The few times we had to do change orders/modifications to the initial plan, Paul was quick to provide his expert advice which was very instrumental in us making informed decisions. Paul’s high professional standards and commitment to the clients greatly represent him and KZP.Work Structure: Except for one or two project tasks, mostly everybody that worked in our pool project is an employee of KZP. This brought peace of mind to know that our project was not at the mercy of sub-contractors. Every stage of the project was done by specific crews that are used to working together and exhibited cohesion. We had the excavation crew, the plumbing crew, the rebar crew, the gunite crew, the finishing crew and the clean up crew. This structure is great as the teams/crews stay in the project until their part is complete. This work structure made our project flow in a highly orchestrated manner and without headaches. In conclusion, I recommend KZP to anyone wanting to build a high quality pool without headaches or hiccups. KZP uses quality materials as well as experts throughout the entire project. My wife and I are very happy with the pool that was built. Having selected KZP for our pool project brings great peace of mind to us.

What Is The Average Cost To Build A Pool In San Antonio?

When it comes to pricing out your new backyard enhancement, there are a lot of factors to consider.

  • Permits. Although the specific requirements for obtaining a pool installation permit in San Antonio may vary depending on the size and complexity of your project, the city of San Antonio does require permits for any new construction or alteration of existing structures, including swimming pools. This process is something that your contractor will likely take care of, but it’s important to have an idea of what these permit fees may be when you’re figuring out the budget for your new pool.
  • Landscaping. Landscaping fees can include excavation, decking, plants, and any other features around the pool area that can help create a beautiful and inviting space.
  • Additional equipment or features. If you’re considering a heating element for your pool, additional lighting for your yard area, or water features such as a waterfall or built-in slide, these are all things you’ll want to factor into your budget as well.
  • Fencing. It is required by law to have a fence surrounding any privately-owned swimming pool in San Antonio, Texas. The total cost of the fencing will be determined by the size of the pool and the specific materials chosen for the project.

Pool costs can add up quickly. Homeowners in San Antonio spend an average of $35,500 to $65,500  on adding a pool to their property. This estimate will vary widely based on the type of pool you’re choosing to build and any additional features.

It’s important to work with a reputable pool builder who can provide a detailed estimate of all the costs associated with your pool construction project. At TGUC Financial, all of our contractor partners are insured, bonded, and TGUC Financial approved.

What Is The Most Durable Pool Construction For San Antonio?

When it comes time to decide which type of inground pool is best for your backyard in San Antonio Texas, there are several factors to consider. Among those factors, you’ll want to know what materials are going to be most durable in extreme Texas heat. Fiberglass is a common choice for San Antonio pools as it can withstand temperatures of over 100 degrees Fahrenheit without any issues. The same cannot be said for concrete or vinyl, as they tend to crack and need regular resurfacing in extreme temperatures.

What I Wish I Knew Before Building A Pool In San Antonio?

As rewarding as your new pool is going to be, once it’s finished, there are some things that aren’t often considered – but should be.

  • Maintenance. Costs for everything from regular cleaning and balancing chemicals to servicing equipment should be considered. Decide whether you’re willing to learn and tackle these things on your own, or outsource a company for your pool maintenance needs.
  • Energy. Running a pool pump, vacuum, or heater can all significantly increase your monthly energy bills. Consider investing in energy-efficient equipment in an effort to cut long-term costs.
  • Timing. Construction of your new pool can take anywhere from a few weeks to months. It’s essential to plan accordingly. That backyard barbeque could be postponed for quite some time. Additionally, pool contractors have a “busy season”, as everyone wants to be ready for those San Antonio heat waves. Your project may get finished faster if you aim for a late Fall or early Winter completion.

What Are The Cheapest Inground Pool Prices Installed In San Antonio?

To further cut costs, you might consider a vinyl liner pool. Inground pools with vinyl liners generally have installation costs ranging from $10,000 to $25,000, making them the most affordable option. There are risks with a vinyl liner pool, especially in San Antonio’s arguably hostile Summer climate, as the heat can cause fading, cracking, and eventually make your liner weak and more susceptible to punctures. Additionally, San Antonio is largely covered in clay-based soil. This can lead to expansion and contraction, further adding to the risk of cracks or other damage. When you find a knowledgeable contractor through TGUC Financial’s network, rest assured you’ll be working with local contractors who have the experience to educate you on the pros and cons of each type of inground pool.

How Much Does A 12×24 Inground Pool Cost In San Antonio?

As a general rule of thumb for fiberglass pools, you can expect to spend around $1,500 per linear foot. Meaning, a common-sized 12×24’ pool can be expected to cost in the ballpark area of $36,000.

What Is The Most Expensive Part Of Owning A Pool In San Antonio?

Typically, ongoing maintenance and operational costs are the most significant expenses associated with owning a pool in San Antonio. These expenses can include regular tasks such as cleaning, chemical balancing, and equipment servicing, as well as additional costs for water, electricity, and chemicals. Thanks to San Antonio’s warm and sunny climate, you can expect water evaporation to add to your long-term water expenses.

Should I DIY My Pool In San Antonio?

We know there are many home improvement projects you can do on your own, but pool construction should not be one of them. It is highly recommended to hire an experienced pool contractor to guarantee a safe and top-quality pool installation. A competent pool contractor possesses the expertise, knowledge, and resources required to complete the project accurately.

What Is The Most Expensive Part Of Installing A Pool In San Antonio?

One of the most costly expenses when building your pool is going to be labor, but, peace of mind, safety, and longevity of your pool are priceless.
