RARE MENRARE MEN

This was by far the worst experience ever. I have to be honest I love the out come nevertheless I’m being honest the customer service with this company was the lowest level of customer service I’ve ever experienced. We were reaching out to our initial project manger for weeks only to find out he was no longer with the company yet no one had notified us. The replacement project manager was unavailable and if he did reply it was days later. Eventually we were told he too was no longer with the company. The third project manager had an attitude, the owners of the company were rude and did not deal with customers in an understanding way. I would never recommend this company to anyone. If you want a pool your best bet is to not go with premier pools and spas. ‘Pool School’ is a joke. I had to go and YouTube the correct way to service my pool. Not to mention it took this company A YEAR to fix my driveway that they damaged. This was after going back and forth with them about them being liable. I had whole video proof that they damaged my driveway 😩. Not to mention the concrete repair is subpar. The damages in the backyard took months to address and the repairs were half hearted. This company is a joke and they’re fooling people. Anytime someone is spending money with you your customer service and availability have to be up to par. I hope they never get another contract and go out of business.

Best pool company I have ever worked with. Timely, honest, amazing craftsmanship. Wouldn’t recommend another. Have built a pool in the past and interviewed several for our new house. Steven and Premier Pools were head and shoulders above the rest. Hassle free and easy process from beginning to end.

I want to update my review and give them a 5 star. I will admit it was a touch and go project but they pulled it off. The first one I want to thank is Dora. She answered EVERY single one of my emails without fail. She is truly AWESOME! They need to give her a raise! I seriously don’t think they would survive without her. The next person I want to thank is Javier although he did not answer every text or phone call he made sure the pool repairs were done and correct! Thank you Mr Unger for making sure our repairs were done in a timely manner! Please stay in contact with our neighbors behind us to make sure everything is ok. I don’t want them coming over complaining that their backyard is flooded. 😬. Thank you y’all for everything you did! I can’t wait to enjoy it this summer!

After being told my pool was completed, it has been almost 3 weeks now, There is still work to be done. I have once again had to postpone using my pool due to lack of communication and lack of finishing this project. We have been completely paid for and supposed to be done by end of december. It is now January 19th.

Premier did a fabulous job on my pool. They designed and delivered exactly what I wanted. I worked with Ron on the design. He listened to what I wanted and did not try to sell me anything more. He didn’t push me to include a hot tub or lots of “bells and whistles”. I wanted a simple pool for my family that left enough yard for pets. The tile and other finishes are just gorgeous. The staff at Premier helped with those choices. When it came to construction, Cody was responsive and stayed on top of all the different r crews and details. Both Cody and Ron kept me informed as to what was next etc. I highly recommend them. I have attached pictures but they don’t capture the beauty of the tile and pebble finish. The lighting in the pool is spectacular. My bubblers are the perfect finishing touch.

We had Premier Pools and Spas design and build our pool this year. The process was very good and they completed ahead of schedule. We started construction in February and we were swimming by the beginning of May. I had heard a lot of people say that it takes about 6 months to build a inground pool. The team at Premier did a great job scheduling the construction and finished before summer. I am very please with my pool. Thanks Brian and Darrell I really appreciate all the hard work. I highly recommend Premier Pools and Spas in Pearland.

Rick knew what we wanted even when we didn’t know. As first time Pool buyers, Rick made the process exceptional and seamless. His listening skills, attention to detail and knowledge, allowed us to feel comfortable with our decision to invest in our pool. From the consultation/design meeting up to post-construction, Rick demonstrated patience with our questions and responded quickly to our calls/concerns. He was the consummate professional from beginning to end. We are extremely grateful for his guidance through the entire process. Our excellent experience with Premiere Pools and Rick, confirmed we made the right decision on our pool investment.

Happy with Premier Pool and Spas. Signed contract in October of 2021, broke ground in November of 2021, and after some expected delays due to the holidays, pool was up and running by April of 2022. Ron T. designed the pool and guided us through the contractual process. His design and insight on what would and would not work for our yard was the selling point for us. Ron was profesional and very knowledgeable about anything to do with the pool business. Even after the completion of the project, Ron responds to our calls and questions we may have. The process of pool construction is not always clear-cut let alone, on time. Several scheduling conflicts, often having to do with the contractors, held up the build a couple of times.Despite the delays at times, we highly recommend this company for a pool construction project. The pool was done and operational just I time for summer. Absolutely worth the investment for our home.Lopez Family

Keith Zars built my pool 2 years ago and it's beautiful! We've had a few maintenance issues since then but they have been very responsive and proactive in making the repairs. I have several neighbors with different pool companies who cannot say the same. Very pleased with their service levels.

Sharp organized and shows up, typical of not everything that shines is gold . KZP assigned an inexperienced clueless person to do my pool who never was able to make the pool look decent. My nephew who is not into that business at all had to fix it for it to be usable.Just looked at ridiculous answer by owner obviously he didn't read the review which says service was terrible or he's in denial about he's poor employee performance.I would not recommend this company even if they pay me

My wife and I did a lot of research before choosing Keith Zars because we wanted to avoid nightmare scenarios we had heard or read about and I am certain we made the right decision. We are extremely happy with the end result. Not only that but the whole experience was excellent. Everyone we came in contact with - from first consultation, to design and build was great. They were always available to answer our questions. Paul, the superintendent, was the best and always kept us updated on everything.

Keith Zars Pools built us an amazing pool on a challenging side of a hill. Kent Ely the pool designer, Terry Shake the pool build supervisor, Jorge who did an amazing tile job for our patio, and all the workers that built the pool were professional, friendly, and easy to work with. KZP stands by their build and have a great warranty. I highly recommend them if you're looking to build a custom pool you will love for years to come.

I would highly recommend Keith Zars to build your dream pool. From our first contact with Kent (sales) and then to John our foreman it was professional, friendly & respectful. We love our pool and are so happy to have our outdoor paradise complete.

Best investment for Texas hot weather. Love the black pebbled plaster with nacre shell gives the look you are in a small lake and shines different colors. Have it for 8y and more to come. Keith are prompt to service it, we had no issues when built they were right on scheduled.

We had a geometric pool and spa built with KZP. The entire process from sales, design, planning, construction, and completion was smoother than we anticipated. Going into this project during the COVID-19 pandemic, my wife and I were aware of potential delays. While delays occurred, we completely understood the challenges during these times and never pressed KZP for a faster completion. The time it took to complete was the timeline my wife and I had set in our minds considering the present challenges going across industries.Sales Stage: Ms. Beth Gerrard and her sales team were amazing. At this stage we had to go back to the drawing board several times to figure out a design that would fit our our wants and budget. The sales agent was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and motivated to create a design suitable for us. At no point, we felt that we were been sold the pool that they had in mind; they always worked to sell the pool my wife and I had in our minds.Pricing: At the time of quote, the KZP price was competitive when compared to 4 other companies. KZP reputation and organizational structure weighted heavily on our decision.Design Center/Materials: The material selection offered by KZP is very extensive. Selecting the materials can be overwhelming. Elizabeth at the design center made this process very easy and enjoyable. While this is the second pool we build, we relied heavily on Elizabeth’s expertise and experience to determine the tile, plaster, and colors to be used. My wife and I are grateful for Elizabeth’s input. The pool looks amazing.Project Execution: My wife and I are grateful for the expertise and professionalism of Marie Caiazzo and Paul Espurvoa along with the different work crews. Going into the project, my wife and I were concerned about the project specific challenges due to the unique terrain features. Specifically, our yard is on a hill and it has three leveled sections instead of a slope. We wanted the pool in the top area. This challenge did not face the KZP crews.Paul Espurvoa was our project superintendent. Paul’s professionalism, knowledge, customer service skills and leadership are amazing. Paul ensured that we were informed of what was going on in our project at all times. He never failed to communicate with us. We always felt that we were part of the entire construction process. Throughout our project, Paul made us feel confident that we had made the right decision to build with KZP. The few times we had to do change orders/modifications to the initial plan, Paul was quick to provide his expert advice which was very instrumental in us making informed decisions. Paul’s high professional standards and commitment to the clients greatly represent him and KZP.Work Structure: Except for one or two project tasks, mostly everybody that worked in our pool project is an employee of KZP. This brought peace of mind to know that our project was not at the mercy of sub-contractors. Every stage of the project was done by specific crews that are used to working together and exhibited cohesion. We had the excavation crew, the plumbing crew, the rebar crew, the gunite crew, the finishing crew and the clean up crew. This structure is great as the teams/crews stay in the project until their part is complete. This work structure made our project flow in a highly orchestrated manner and without headaches. In conclusion, I recommend KZP to anyone wanting to build a high quality pool without headaches or hiccups. KZP uses quality materials as well as experts throughout the entire project. My wife and I are very happy with the pool that was built. Having selected KZP for our pool project brings great peace of mind to us.

Frank our pool designer was absolutely outstanding. He was was very friendly and personable, highly knowledgeable, and excellent in his craft. He worked with us over many months and helping us design our dream pool. And then refine that design so that we could get it to a price we could afford, and he went above and beyond to give us extra discounts so that we got the absolute best bang for our buck!. when we were looking at several different pool, options and companies, it was Frank who ultimately made us decide to go with Cody Pools.During construction, our superintendent, Marcos did a fantastic job. He was great at communicating to us during every phase of construction and he got the pool done even more quickly than we thought it would. He was quick to respond to any concerns and issues we had. He went the extra mile to make sure we had a great experience with Cody Pools.Dillon and Tre were outstanding during our final pool school phase with Cody Pools. They both were super informative and very personable. They always made sure that I was understanding what they were teaching and demonstrating. And they even provided their contact information so I can reach out to them at any time in the future if I have any questions, issues or concerns. They receive my highest recommendation!

We recently got our pool done by Cody Pools @ Georgetown and had a wonderful experience. From start to finish the process went extremely smooth. Our pools construction was completed in less than 3 months which was amazing since it gave us plenty of time to enjoy the pool before winter rolled around. The team was diligently working through heat and rain and transition from one team to the next was extremely smooth! They constantly keep us informed on the process and when the next step would start.I highly recommend them for your pool needs.

Cody Pools recently completed construction of our pool and spa. It was a great experience working with Cody and we love the finished product. Thanks to Peter B who did a fantastic job on our pool design. We solicited design proposals from several builders, but Peter’s design was the most inspiring…making imaginative use of the existing structure and landscape. It was because of Peter that we ultimately chose Cody for our pool project. Jody D was the the construction supervisor. Jody maintained regular communications, was responsive, and kept the project running smoothly. It was because of Jody that we had an excellent and stress-free experience and a high quality build.

This has been a long time coming and we wanted to show off the incredible talent and commitment to professionalism of our team at Cody Pools. Peter B and Dominique B at Cody were an amazing duo and despite the challenges we faced with the pandemic (namely equipment and trade shortages) they were able to pull off a design and construction project that was as smooth as possible. We challenged Peter to come up with a design that fully integrated into our existing patio and landscape and he brought us a vision that was original, highly functional and simple to maintain, and above all beautiful. He educated us in the pros/cons of our decisions and helped to make sure we would love our pool once it was all said and done.Dominique for his part had the difficult task of managing the project start to finish and continued to support us long after the pool was full and running. He is diligent, thorough, and works as hard as anyone we’ve seen in the construction industry.Pictures speak volumes and we look forward to many years of enjoying our backyard oasis. Thank you Peter, Dominique, and the entire Cody Pools team!

We love our pool, fire pit and outdoor kitchen! It was a great experience working with Cody Pools. Mike Livingston did a fantastic job on our design! He is very thorough and listened to all our needs and wants. Jody Draper, our site supervisor, was awesome! He is very knowledgeable, responsive, and patient. We really appreciated his honesty when it came to delays with the construction. Most of which were because of supply and demand due to the winter storm, the pandemic, and the abundant number of pools under construction at the time. Even though our final completion date was pushed out about 2 months, we are extremely satisfied on all accounts and highly recommend Cody Pools.

What Costs The Most When Building A Pool In Texas?

Before you plan your dream pool, it’s important to understand the monetary breakdown. Although it’s difficult to say what exactly will cost the most when building your dream pool, here are a few of the most expensive aspects of pool construction:

  • Labor: Constructing an inground pool is an intricate process that demands specialized skills and expertise. The process involves several steps such as excavation, plumbing and electrical installation, foundation laying, and the actual construction of the pool bed itself. Each of these tasks requires significant attention to detail and technical know-how, which contributes to the overall cost of labor.
  • Material: Material expenses can vary greatly as there are a few different materials that are commonly used in Texas pool builds. Among the most common are fiberglass, concrete and vinyl.
  • Maintenance: Many homeowners overlook or don’t have an in-depth understanding of long-term maintenance costs associated with owning a pool. These expenses may include cleaning, chemical balancing, and servicing of pool equipment, along with water and electricity costs.

What Is The Average Cost To Build A Pool In Texas?

Now that we have an idea of some of the pricier aspects, here’s the million-dollar question – how much can you expect your entire project to cost?

If we’re just talking initial costs and discounting long term expenses, the average pool in Texas can cost between $45,000 and $100,000. That’s a wide range, but a hefty price tag either way. If you’re like most Texans, you’ll need pool financing.

Think about all the pool parties, endless relaxation, and having the“go-to” hangout right in your backyard – priceless. Check pool financing offers with no credit impact today.

What Is The Most Expensive Part To Install An Inground Pool In Texas?

Besides labor, materials, and maintenance, the equipment you opt for when building your new pool will greatly affect that total cost.

  • Pump: A pool pump can cost anywhere from the low hundreds to thousands depending on the size of your pool, the power of your pump, and any a-typical plumbing needs.
  • Filter: A good filter can average around $1,200. This is typically something you won’t want to “go cheap” on, as it has the important job of keeping contaminants out of your sparkling water.
  • Heater: Although a heater is not a necessity for your pool to function, you may want one if you choose to utilize your pool year-round. Prices vary widely, but a good heater can cost thousands.
  • Cover: When you’re not using your pool, you’ll likely want a cover to help keep it clean and keep your family (especially young children and pets) safe from accidentally falling in. These can run around $1,200 to $3,000.

What Is The Cheapest Inground Pool Prices Installed In Texas?

If you’re on a budget, but still want to beat the Texas heat – you might be wondering how to build a pool for cheap. Although pool building and “cheap” don’t exactly go hand in hand, there are cheaper options. To save on material costs, you can opt for a vinyl liner pool. The cost for a vinyl liner pool may run between $10,000-$25,000.

It is important to keep in mind that while a low-priced inground pool may provide some initial cost savings, it could ultimately result in higher expenses over time due to the need for frequent maintenance or repairs. Texas’s intense Summers may contribute to an increased likelihood of damage to certain materials.

What Type Of Pool Is Best In Texas?

You might now be wondering what pool materials do last long-term, even in Texas heat. Most pool professionals will say without missing a beat, fiberglass. Fiberglass is resilient and the only pool material that easily withstands regular temperatures of over 100 degrees.

How Can I Save Money Building A Pool In Texas?

If you still want to build with quality materials that will last but still need to build a pool on a budget, here are a few ideas to cut costs:

  • Size: Consider opting for a smaller pool. This will save on material, labor (time), utility, and maintenance costs.
  • Time of year: That’s right, pool building has an “off-season.” Typically, it may be more expensive to build a pool in the Spring when everyone is gearing up for Summer’s heat waves.
  • Keep it simple: Avoid any extras such as water features, unnecessary landscaping, heating elements, and lighting.
  • Choose the right contractor: TGUC makes comparing quotes easy.

Is It Worth The Money To Build A Pool In Texas?

Now that we know a little bit more about how much your pool build may cost, you’re probably wondering whether or not it’s worth it. The answer to that depends entirely on where your priorities lie. If you value having a peaceful place to relax and recharge, exercise, and staying cool in the brutal Texas heat – building a pool is absolutely worth the money.

Before you get started, consult with a reputable pool builder to get an estimate for the pool you’re envisioning and factor that into your decision.

How Long Does It Take To Build A Pool In Texas?

Building a pool can take anywhere from just a few weeks, to an entire season depending on the size of your pool, features in your yard, soil type, and a number of other contributing factors. Don’t make those backyard BBQ plans just yet.

Does A Pool Increase Property Value In Texas?

As any Texan knows, our Summers are hot. This means that a home with a pool can quickly jump to the top of any Texan home buyer’s list. Although adding a pool to your backyard can increase your home’s value, it would be worth doing some market research on homes with pools in your area to see if it would bring in any return if your plan is to sell right away. This can vary greatly by area. The potential buyer can also impact the value as some may desire a pool while others may not.
