After having our pools for some years now, I'm going to upgrade my review and here's why. ASR (concrete cancer) has become a nightmare in the Austin area. I'm hearing of people who literally have to tear out their pools completely. However, we have had NO issues or signs of cracks in these years. I've also talked to numerous people who had nightmare installs, especially during the COVID fiasco, so in hindsight, our build was not much of a nightmare, but some things could've been managed a little better (though sometimes I'm overly critical). Seeing that we have no signs of ASR, our pool holds water with no cracks (don't underestimate the importance of this), we easily maintain our pool ourselves, and it's been been problem free, I have to give them five stars. If we were to move, we'd definitely would hire them again.
---UPDATE---
Our pool is done and it turned out quite nice. I'm still not overly pleased with some of the contractors, however, Elijah and Joel were more than willing to work with me on what the contractors billed me for. I will say, Elijah and Joel are honest guys who are genuinely good to work with. Could the project have been ran better? Yes. But, I do feel they will make any wrongs right, and they have. For that, I thank them. My pool seems solid and everything is working great.
---------
I'm now one year in with our new pool and wanted to double down on this review. From time to time we've had issues with the pool that are primarily due to my unfamiliarity with the newer technology. Every time I've had an issue, Joel has not only immediately replied to my call but on occasion he will ask me to facetime and will walk me through any issues to almost an instant solution. For them to continue to provide this level of service when I've already long paid for the pool is unheard of.
ORIGINAL REVIEW
Reliant was not the cheapest bid we received for our pool project but after hearing so many neighbors and friends with nightmare pool projects my first instinct was that this company was professional and had real experience building pools in Central Texas and probably worth the marginal extra cost.
My instincts were spot on.
Joel and the Reliant crew did a superb job. Listen to Joel, he might seem opinionated on design and layout choices but it's only because he seen all the mistakes made and will steer you away from them. They started digging in December (into pure solid limestone) and we did our first swim in April. Frankly, it would have been faster but there are some permits, neighbor permissions, HOA sign-offs etc that are out of their control and could have shaved significant time off this project if those had gone faster.
Most notably, Joel was accessible via phone/text and responsive 24/7. He genuinely wants to exceed expectations. Inevitably, questions and concerns WILL come up and he's there to answer them succinctly and professionally. Building a pool is a much more complex and nuanced project than I imagined and am very grateful to have an experienced team. So many details could have gone awry.
Bottom line: I highly recommend Reliant. Our final pool exceeded our expectations.

The entire process was fast and seamless. They quoted us 4 months to complete the build and they did it in 3! The warranty is also fantastic; Bianca is quick to respond to your issues. We opted for a smaller, heated pool (26x12) because we value the yard space, and boy did they deliver. We get so many compliments and everyone says "it's the perfect size."
Thank you, A&S. We love our little oasis!!

It is now two years since we closed on our construction loan and well over that since we signed with Anthony & Sylvan to build our pool as a part of our house. We've been moved into the house for six months now and A&S still isn't done! In the past three months, the extent of their effort has been that electricians have been out a couple of times for an hour or two each time and still aren't finished wiring everything. Plumbers screwed up and have never been back. Their corporate customer care (Lesley) has been unable to make any progress with the Texas team. This is now the second wedding anniversary A&S has ruined, as well as the second Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years where they should have been done, not to mention the last year of holidays where we should have been using our pool! These people need to understand that their actions, or rather inaction, affects peoples LIVES! Beyond the stress and aggravation, they've cost us tens of thousands of dollars in bank fees and interest on the construction loan that we can't convert to a mortgage until they're done, not to mention the dumpster, porta potty, etc. we're also still paying for! This has been a complete nightmare that won't ever end!

Well, apparently Google won't post my negative review with the picture showing the lack of progress over the past two years. Another four months have passed since I originally posted this (enough time for a reputable builder to have done this start to finish) and they're still not much closer to completion. They still won't commit to when they'll have it completed.
Oh, and Hi Lesley. You already know who this is as we've been corresponding since August when I originally posted this. I called you again yesterday and you haven't returned my call either.
Based on all the positive reviews, we started our pool project with Anthony & Sylvan over two years ago now, and started construction on our new custom house with pool in January 2021. It's over a year and a half later and while we've completed a 5500 SF custom home in that time, despite COVID, with A&S we've been through four project managers and are still nowhere near completion of the pool construction. They are now costing us many thousands of dollars a month in interest and penalties on our construction loan and we are in danger of default with the bank, but there's no end in sight with A&S. The original forms were up so long (over nine months!) that they had to tear them out and completely replace them before they could gunite. They have constantly made major mistakes throughout the process and have now had to break out a big section of the pool and start over, cracking our house foundation in the process! Now we're basically back to the state we were over a year ago (see picture) and have no indication of when they'll be done. Even after the Director of Operations took over the project management to finish the job, they continue to make stupid mistakes and keep having to rework the little bit they've redone. None of their management (including the previous president and regional vice president, both of whom removed their Linked In accounts after I tried contacting them) will respond to me or the BBB. I have talked to others in the area who've had the same sort of issues, although none as bad as mine. Don't be fooled by all the positive reviews. These aren't the people you want building your pool.
Our sales rep/designer, Sindo, listened to our wants/needs and was awesome in making design changes as we worked through the process.
Our project manager, Matt, was always responsive to our questions and quickly resolved any issues that were discovered.
During 'pool school', Andrew was very informative, patient and helpful.
Once completed, we did have an equipment failure, but Maggie & Paul, from the warranty department, resolved the issue right away.
We are overall very happy with our pool installation.
1 Year Update: Unfortunately, we're now forced to change our review from 5 stars to 2 over their warranty process. Originally they were very responsive to service requests, however after the Texas freeze of 2021, the warranty service has failed to complete the work we submitted. We had an issue we submitted in June 2021, multiple calls, emails and 2 visits from them still did not resolve the matter. In March 2022, we purchased the parts and completed the work ourselves. As of today, (04/25/2022), we still have some warranty requests that have yet to be addressed. We even attempted to escalate the situation to the General Manager and have yet to receive a response.
Summary - they built a great pool, but their warranty support is extremely lacking.
2-3 Year Update: Corporate contacted us shortly after we wrote our 1-year update to discuss why we wrote what we did. They got the Austin warranty manger involved who worked with us regarding our issues. It took a little longer than we had hoped and while did experience some slight resistance, they eventually were able to resolve our issues.
Summary - we still believe A&S builds a great pool, however their warranty support could be improved.
We love that our kids ask if all of their friends can come over on Saturday afternoons, and we have a backyard full of kids having a blast together. I wouldn't change a thing!

2 out of the 3 light in the pool is not working. What they said, call the warranty company, that never answer your call (after 30, 40 min waiting on the phone. When leaving a message nobody calls you back. Each light goes for about $1.8000 each. Then you call Premier Pools and they told me to call Wet Techs that works directly with the warranty company. I have myself texting and talking to this lady Jennifer from Wet Techs for over an year to replace those light. Nothing has been done and wont be done. Will provide pictures later of the light too.
It is up to you to choose this company to build your pool, but take in consideration theirs policy for warranty, material they used for coping is deteriorating on the edges (it should be explained to the owner that this material wouldn't last for 2 years, I am sure that not this type of stone were to be used.
Overall, our experience with Premier was positive. However, like any construction project, there were inevitable hiccups along the way. Our main frustration was with the scheduling. There were instances of workers not showing up and our project was idle for a couple of months, which was disappointing.
Despite these challenges, the staff at Premier remained pleasant throughout the process. Towards the end of our project, we were assigned a new Project Manager, Eric. He was a real dynamo. Once he was on board, things started moving again and progress was evident.
In conclusion, while there were frustrations, the end result was worth it. We are overall pleased with our new pool and the service provided by Premier.
I gave my money to these guys back in July of 2021. It’s November now and crickets. I’ve talked to three different individuals and they each point their fingers in different directions but their own. In one case they blamed it on the HOA. I reached out to the HOA and discovered that my pool request wasn’t submitted until three months after I went under contract with this pool builder. The salesman fooled me into signing before end of month (July) so he could make his monthly goals/quota — and promised me incentives if did so. Two words: Specific Performance. Fun facts from the builder: 1. We employ most trades, so expect no delays. 2. We purchase pool equipment in bulk and stock pile, so expect no delays.
**ELEVEN months later and still not done.
