Joe in sales was awesome from start to finish. He met with us several times, several extra times, because we just couldn’t decide whether to build a pool or not. He designed and redesigned our pool many times to suit our needs. Construction was completed on time and went smoothly. Highly recommend Blue Haven to anyone!

I highly recommend BHP. Joe R was our sales person and was great throughout the entire process. He was very knowledgeable and has a great attitude, especially for all the questions we had. Jerry H and his construction crew are the best! He was awesome at giving us updates and keeping us a priority. We were very blessed to have the opportunity to work with this team!

It has be about 2 years since I started working with this company. I will start off by saying that Joe, has been an absolutely great designer he designed the pool I’ve always wanted. Now, my pool took a year to be complete, neglecting the work and always coming up with excuses as to why I had to wait for phases of this work. They got done December of 2021. I have used my pool 3 times and each time my heater would become faulty as to were maintenance would come to do a temporary fix. on April, when I called about it again, they gave me the run around, the “someone will contact you to schedule” and never call. it has been almost a year and they have not fixed it. I paid over 80k on a pool I can’t comfortably use because it doesn’t work up to standard. They have neglected their own warranty contract, offered no solution other than “Someone will come look at it” It has been since April of 2022. Its is now February, 2023. I used this company thinking I rather pay good quality and not worry about poor performance and honestly I have paid an expensive price for a headache, stress and disappointment.Absolutamente unsatisfactory.

We absolutely LOVE our Blue Haven pool!Jorge and his crew were fabulous. Any concerns or questions that we had were addressed and resolved immediately. The entire pool and surrounding surfaces were completed well ahead of schedule. I have recommended them to several of my friends who are thinking about adding a pool.We are looking forward to many years of memories with our children and grandchildren in our new backyard oasis!

5 star experience all the way around! We signed papers 8/1/22, they started digging 11/15/22, passed our final inspection today 5/3/23. Shawn designed the pool of my dreams and Mark our project manager made it happen. We really liked Mark and he did a great job communicating with us. We tried not to bother him too much with questions but he was available for us after 5 and on weekends to send a text back or call to chat about an inspection. I was fully convinced at the beginning of this that it was going to be a long and frustrating process to put a pool in. That’s what everyone seems to say but I couldn’t of been more wrong!! Mark assured me that he’d take care of it all and that my pool would be done by May. And yes…He took care everything and the pool was done by May!! They did everything they said they were going to do and on the timeline they said they would do it. Not to mention the quality of their finished product is impressive! It looks so good! I really appreciate the time everybody at Cody Pools spent making it a great experience for my family. We are so happy!!!! If you’re looking for a pool company to put your pool in; it’s so simple…. just call Cody Pools and ask for Shawn as your pool designer and Mark as your project manager, then keep patience, pay them on time and boom you’ll have a pool 8-9 months later!

Our experience with Cody pools has been nothing short of amazing. Anne Stone help us pick out and design just want we wanted. Elon was our project manager who was always in contact and there for our many questions. Everything went so smooth and quick. We’ve heard of others having rough experiences with other companies and we were expecting to have some bumps in the roads…..but we didn’t with Cody pools. I can’t say enough about the contractors that they work with. They were so polite and always cleaning up, as best you can in an open construction site.Pool completed and we’re now in contact with Cody Pools warranty department. This department does not disappoint! We’ve had both Orlando and Jonathan to our pool to get us up and running and teach us “Pool School.” They’ve both spent as much time with us as we needed and answered all our questions. The representatives I’ve spoke with in this department have also been extremely friendly and communicative.Long story short……we would highly recommend Cody Pools! We so excited to enjoy our own little slice of paradise.

Excellent company overall. We designed our pool, Shawn Gordon was our sale man and was able to render it in a 3D project and help us selecting all the materials, we negotiated a competitive price, we had options. Elon Friedman was our PM. He took Shawn design and made it reality. Elon coordinated all the county permits, vendors, and materials delivery. He owned the overall schedule and execution of milestones and he did an excellent job. From a customer to another: Building a pool is not an easy job. You can choose to hire a smaller company or someone who may charge you less and contract out all the work to Joe the plumber. The issue in doing so are the county inspections that you won’t pass and the needed permits you won’t get. Most of all with a cheap vendor you may end up with tons of repairs later on, in end you will spend more than what Cody charges. Also to be noted that Cody pool vendors are the best in the industry and they are not necessarily available to you as a private or to other companies. I’ve done my homework for months before choosing Cody Pools.I am already in the warranty period with my pool and couldn’t be happier with how the pool looks works and stood the test of time. It’s your choice: Cody Pools and be happy, anyone else and good luck to you!PS - Same as all other potential customers, I read the negative reviews related to supply chain issue and material delays. The country is impacted by all that, perhaps the negative review are related to Joe and not Cody?

Cody Pools did an excellent job on our custom pool project and I highly recommend using them! Steve did a great job designing the pool we dreamt of and even met us on his day out of the office to go over the plans one last time. One of the biggest issues with pool companies is communication, but with Cody Pools that is not an issue. Our project manager was Mark Morris. Mark was super responsive and always answered his phone or called back within a reasonable time, even on nights and weekends. Every construction project, no matter what it is, will have some sort of issues, and Mark and Steve corrected those issues within a matter of days. If you are looking for a pool builder, look no further than Cody Pools. You'll be happy you did! I PROMISE!!

I am giving Cody Pools a 5 star because of Mark Morris our Project Manager for all the hard work and follow up that he did building our pool. Mark was very detailed all the steps of the way. His customer service has been fantastic and his follow through was 100%. Mark weekly if not daily would pass along updates even if it wasn't good news. Mark would answer text messages and calls when we called him and if he didn't he would call or text back the same day. Cody Pools is very lucky to have a Project Manager like Mark. Thank you very much for everything you did Mark Morris. This is a big reason for the 5 stars. I would also like to mentioned our Pool School person Mark was great. He made sure to give tips on how to do things with our new pool. We are looking forward to having Mark come back to finishes up with our 30 day follow up with adding pool salt to our pool. Also would like to share our design and sales person Shawn Gordon was great with coming up with the design we wanted. Thanks Shawn.Only thing that I would mention was it did take pretty long to complete but I understand that some of the delays were out of control for Cody Pools. Just would have liked for us to have known this from the beginning. Lastly, we still have some items that need to be corrected like some screen repair, and our aluminum roof extension that was not sealed correctly and would leak when it rains. Also need the pool pump control screen replaced. Currently can not make adjustments or turn anything off from it. We found this our during pool school. Hopefully we can get these items completed soon. Again thank you everyone from Cody Pools for making our pool dream come true.

Overall it was a good experience. Please note that I'm not some sophisticated pool guy or a plant by the Cody Pools. I never had a pool before and was extremely green to the whole process. Our first contact was with Steve Geiger. He's a straight shooter and as a former military guys we hit it off from the start. I don't need a sleazy sales person trying to sell me a dream. Give it to me straight and that's just what he did. He designed a pool and outdoor living space that captured the image in our heads. From there we were off and running. By the time we closed on our house we had all approvals and permits. We closed the end of November and construction started 12/2/2021. We had water in the pool by April 2022 with the entire project completed by Memorial day 2022. Huge shout to our construction manager, Todd Borsodi. What an awesome PM and just all around good guy. He kept us informed every step of the way. It wasn't easy mind you and we pressed him constantly. Now don't get me wrong. There were issues. Like bringing the wrong tile, delays, pavers having to be fixed a few times, delays, outdoor kitchen not starting on time, oh did I mention delays??? Being a novice about pools it was hard trying to understand how we can get a crew here working hard for a day then weeks go by without any action. That was without a doubt the most difficult part. My only saving grace was talking with my neighbors who have been through this process before. They kept telling me that my pool was moving faster than they've seen others built. Now that I look back on it the total project was 5 months. That's with supply shortages, labor shortages, COVID, etc...Overall we're extremely pleased with our pool and outdoor living space. We utilize it everyday and really don't want to go in the house. We set out to have the best pool in the neighborhood and I do believe we've succeeded.Thank you Steve and Todd for making our dream come true.Anthony and Tammy Brown

Premier did a fabulous job on my pool. They designed and delivered exactly what I wanted. I worked with Ron on the design. He listened to what I wanted and did not try to sell me anything more. He didn’t push me to include a hot tub or lots of “bells and whistles”. I wanted a simple pool for my family that left enough yard for pets. The tile and other finishes are just gorgeous. The staff at Premier helped with those choices. When it came to construction, Cody was responsive and stayed on top of all the different r crews and details. Both Cody and Ron kept me informed as to what was next etc. I highly recommend them. I have attached pictures but they don’t capture the beauty of the tile and pebble finish. The lighting in the pool is spectacular. My bubblers are the perfect finishing touch.

We had Premier Pools and Spas design and build our pool this year. The process was very good and they completed ahead of schedule. We started construction in February and we were swimming by the beginning of May. I had heard a lot of people say that it takes about 6 months to build a inground pool. The team at Premier did a great job scheduling the construction and finished before summer. I am very please with my pool. Thanks Brian and Darrell I really appreciate all the hard work. I highly recommend Premier Pools and Spas in Pearland.

Rick knew what we wanted even when we didn’t know. As first time Pool buyers, Rick made the process exceptional and seamless. His listening skills, attention to detail and knowledge, allowed us to feel comfortable with our decision to invest in our pool. From the consultation/design meeting up to post-construction, Rick demonstrated patience with our questions and responded quickly to our calls/concerns. He was the consummate professional from beginning to end. We are extremely grateful for his guidance through the entire process. Our excellent experience with Premiere Pools and Rick, confirmed we made the right decision on our pool investment.

Happy with Premier Pool and Spas. Signed contract in October of 2021, broke ground in November of 2021, and after some expected delays due to the holidays, pool was up and running by April of 2022. Ron T. designed the pool and guided us through the contractual process. His design and insight on what would and would not work for our yard was the selling point for us. Ron was profesional and very knowledgeable about anything to do with the pool business. Even after the completion of the project, Ron responds to our calls and questions we may have. The process of pool construction is not always clear-cut let alone, on time. Several scheduling conflicts, often having to do with the contractors, held up the build a couple of times.Despite the delays at times, we highly recommend this company for a pool construction project. The pool was done and operational just I time for summer. Absolutely worth the investment for our home.Lopez Family

Brian was our designer and was very knowledgeable about what pool equipment was created Amazing pool design. He was able to accommodate and guide us at every turn.MAX WAS AWESOME as our construction project manager.Max was present for every stage of the construction. He looked over the work to ensure construction was done correctly. Max was able to make changes in real-time. He looked over the pool design and provided us with helpful addition that we might have missed or don't know about from his pool building experience.Shane

Who Is The Best Pool Contractor?

The best contractor will vary depending on your needs. Check reviews, define expectations, and gather estimates when determining who the best pool contractor is for your job. Start with an elite group of pool builders by browsing TGUC’s network of pool contractor partners.

    Should I DIY My Pool?

If you’ve ever seen a pool installation before, you know the machinery, skill and complexity involved with adding a pool to a house. That’s why it can be extremely difficult and risky to try and DIY an inground pool project on your own. If you do plan to DIY your pool, make sure you allow yourself ample time to get building permits, research the materials you’ll need and plan out your design. We highly encourage you to hire a professional though as one mistake could cause serious damage.

Who Is The Largest Pool Builder In The World?

Premier Pools and Spas is the largest pool builder in the USA, with over $145 million in sales and 100 locations nationwide. Founded in 1988, they’ve built more than 70,000 pools and tout their customer-first mindset as a reason for their large success.

What Is The Most Durable Pool Construction?

You want your pool to last you decades of enjoyment and fun. While most pools will have a long lifespan, concrete pools are known to be the most durable. Concrete pools can last over 50 years in the right climate. Plus, they’re extremely customizable. Although concrete pools are the most durable, they also take the longest to construct and can have more maintenance than fiberglass pools.

What Is The Average Cost To Build A Pool?

The average cost to build a pool varies by location and the pool itself. The national average falls around $45,000 with features like adding salt water adding $1,500-$2,500, a waterfall $3,000-$15,000, and a hot tub $5,000-$12,000.

What Type Of Pool Is Best?

There are really three main types of inground pool designs for homeowners to pick between — fiberglass, vinyl and concrete pools. Each has its own pros and cons, depending on what you’re looking for in a pool.

    • Fiberglass: Fiberglass pools require the least amount of maintenance, but come with limitations around their design. Since the fiberglass pools are prefabricated, they have a quick installation period and are also the most expensive.

    • Concrete: If you’re looking for a long-lasting and custom pool, a concrete pool is a great option. While pricey up front, you can feel confident that your concrete pool will last decades. However, concrete pools can take between 3 and 6 months to install, leaving your yard a construction site in the process.

    • Vinyl: Homeowners looking to keep costs low should opt for a vinyl pool. These are the cheapest option but require the liner to be replaced every 5 to 10 years.

As you decide which pool type is best for you, make sure to consider your budget and the type of pool that will work best for your home.

What I Wish I Knew Before Building A Pool?

Homeownership comes with new experiences and expertise. While you may not have built a pool before, it’s a big project to undergo that can have surprises. As you consult with contractors, ask them of potential concerns or roadblocks to help prepare. Beyond that, ask friends, family, and neighbors that have built a pool what you should know. From uncovering details about materials to the overall design, take your time researching pools to make educated decisions that you will be happy with for years to come.

What Is The Cheapest Pool To Install?

Vinyl pools are the cheapest to install, with an average cost between $24,000 and $44,000. While your upfront cost will be lower than concrete or fiberglass, keep in mind you’ll have to replace the vinyl liner, which can add several hundred dollars to maintenance over a decade.

Is It Worth The Money To Put In A Pool?

Each homeowner will need to decide if adding a pool will be worth it for their financial situation as well as their personal lifestyle. Ultimately though, a pool can add 5 to 8% in value to a home and improve your overall enjoyment of the space.

If you’re considering installing a pool, check TGUC Financial’s platform to get connected with a vetted pool builder near you who can help build your dream pool. Plus, unlock competitive pool financing offers with fixed monthly payments.

How Can I Save Money On Pool Construction?

If you’re looking for ways to save on your pool construction, consider:

#1. Opt for a smaller inground pool design: You can save thousands of dollars by minimizing the overall size of the pool.

#2. Add the landscaping later: Landscaping and hardscaping around the pool can be an added cost for the project. Consider delaying that part if you are looking to save some money.

#3. Order in the off-season: You can save up to $10,000 by ordering your pool in advance in the fall or winter before installing it.

#4. Review multiple quotes: During the process, make sure you get several quotes from pool builders near you to confirm the prices are reasonable and in line with regional standards. You can find multiple pool builders near you on TGUC Financial’s website, allowing you to compare quotes from multiple contractors in one place.

What Do You Call Someone Who Builds Pools?

Oftentimes you will have a team of professionals that complete your pool build. These professionals include pool designers, pool builders, and contractors. Typically they will work together so you will start with any one of them and they will bring in other experts as needed.
